Big Value 2012The Big Value has been in Edinburgh for 17 years. In that time we have sought out the best of the newer acts on the circuit and bring them to you before they get famous.

Previous pre famous people have appeared include Jason Manford, Sarah Millican, Jim Jeffries, Mickey Flanaghan, Milton Jones, Glenn Wool, Steve Hughes, Josie Long, Charlie Baker, Seann Walsh, Pat Monahan, Jarred Christmas, Wil Hodgson... the list goes on.

Ben Van Der Velde. Hailed as "a sharp and crafty gagsmith" and a "life-giving compere", Ben Van der Velde is a warm, friendly host who is as adept at quickfire audience interaction as he is with exuberant playground daftness.

David Murphy. 20 years old, is a rising young talent on the comedy scene. He is adorably innocent yet brilliantly entertaining with hilarious stories that should have you in stitches. ‘He was first class. He should go far.' - LoveFringe

Andrea Hubert, began comedy when a friend begged her to “bother someone else with your problems.” She blends dark, eccentric storytelling with quirkily offbeat observations – like how deal with unnecessarily aggressive hippies, or the correct response to "Do you want to choke a swan?"

Paul Sweeney. Paul is a fast-rising young performer who blurs the line between stand-up and rock star with his sharp, original comic songs. His wildly imaginative style of musical comedy and unique sensibility, is in turn both entertaining, beguiling and infinitely charming.
